Former Celtic Player Returns to Premier League

Former Celtic player David Moyes was appointed manager of Everton Football Club on 14 March.

Moyes, who played for Celtic from 1980 to 1983, has signed a four-year contract with the Toffees. He replaces Walter Smith, who was sacked by Everton on 12 March after a poor run of results.

Moyes has a wealth of experience in management, having previously managed Preston North End, Everton, Manchester United, Real Sociedad, and Sunderland.

He led Everton to their highest Premier League finish of fourth in 2004-05, and also guided the Toffees to the FA Cup final in 2009.

Moyes will be hoping to replicate his success at Everton, and he will be confident of doing so, given the Toffees' strong squad.
