Chase Garbers Makes UFL Debut, Leads Brahmas to Victory
Former Cal Star Impresses in Week 2 Matchup
San Antonio Brahmas QB Chase Garbers made his United Football League (UFL) debut on Sunday, leading his team to an impressive comeback victory in Week 2.
Garbers, who previously played for the Cal Golden Bears, completed 25 of 38 passes for 325 yards and three touchdowns in the Brahmas' 35-31 win over the New Orleans Breakers. The Brahmas trailed 28-14 at halftime, but Garbers rallied his team to an incredible comeback victory, which included a 98-yard touchdown drive with just over two minutes remaining in the game.
Garbers' performance was particularly impressive considering that it was his first start in the UFL. The former Cal star showed poise and leadership under pressure, and his ability to make big plays in the clutch helped the Brahmas pull off the win.
The Brahmas are now 2-0 on the season, and they are one of just two undefeated teams remaining in the UFL. Garbers has been a big part of the team's success, and he is quickly becoming one of the most exciting young quarterbacks in the league.
The Brahmas will face their toughest test yet when they travel to Birmingham to take on the two-time defending USFL champion Birmingham Stallions in Week 3. The Stallions are 1-1 on the season, but they are one of the most talented teams in the league.
It will be a great opportunity for Garbers to show what he can do against one of the best teams in the UFL. If he can lead the Brahmas to a victory over the Stallions, he will solidify his status as one of the top young quarterbacks in the league.
