Dune: Prophecy Unveils First Official Teaser

Warner Bros. Discovery has released the first official teaser trailer for Dune: Prophecy, the long-gestating prequel series to Denis Villeneuve's critically acclaimed Dune film. The trailer offers a glimpse into the world of Dune before the events of the film, with a focus on the Bene Gesserit witches, played by Camilla Beeput, Sarah Lam, Emily Watson, and Olivia Williams.

The trailer begins with a voiceover from Beeput, who plays Mother Superior Gaius Helen Mohiam, the leader of the Bene Gesserit. Mohiam speaks of the prophecy that foretells the coming of the Kwisatz Haderach, a messianic figure who will save humanity from itself. The trailer then cuts to scenes of the Bene Gesserit training their young charges, preparing them for the role they will play in the coming war.

The trailer also features glimpses of other key characters in the series, including Lord Leto Atreides (Stellan Skarsgård), Lady Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson), and Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet). The trailer ends with a shot of Chalamet's Paul, who looks out at the desert with a determined expression on his face. Dune: Prophecy does not yet have a firm premiere date, but it is expected to debut on Max later this year.
