Fire Tablet: How to Control App Notifications
Stay in Control of Your Alerts
Notifications can be useful for staying up-to-date on important updates from your apps. However, too many notifications can quickly become overwhelming and distracting. If you're finding that you're constantly being bombarded with notifications on your Amazon Fire tablet, here's how to take control:
Step 1: Open the Settings Menu
Begin by tapping on the "Settings" icon from the home screen.
Step 2: Select "Notifications"
Scroll down the list of settings and tap on "Notifications."
Step 3: Manage App Notifications
You'll see a list of all the apps that have the ability to send notifications. To turn off notifications for an app, simply tap the toggle switch next to the app's name.
Step 4: Customize Notification Settings
In addition to turning off notifications altogether, you can also customize how notifications are displayed. For example, you can choose to only receive notifications for certain types of events, or you can choose to have notifications silenced when the tablet is in silent mode.
Step 5: Review Notification History
To see a history of all the notifications you've received, tap on the "Notification History" option. This can be useful for troubleshooting any issues you may be having with notifications.
