Tziolis completes Werder move
Bundesliga outfit signs Greek international
Third new signing in two days for Allofs and Co.
Werder Bremen have completed the signing of Greece international Alexandros Tziolis from Panathinaikos Athens on a season-long loan. The 23-year-old midfielder becomes Werder's third new signing in two days, following the arrivals of Marko Arnautovic from FC Twente and Wesley from Aston Villa.
"Alexandros Tziolis is a player who can play in a number of positions in midfield," said Werder manager Klaus Allofs. "He is a good passer of the ball and he has a good engine. We are very pleased to have signed him."
Tziolis has been capped 12 times by Greece and was a member of the squad that won the 2004 European Championship. He has also played for AEK Athens and Siena.
Tziolis is expected to make his Werder debut in the Bundesliga match against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.
